I stumbled across this little place while making my way down the backstreet leading from the bullring to the national museum. I was glad I did so. The food was really impressive and I loved the fabada, which was almost as good as the one my mother makes (but don't tell her that). Service was efficient and friendly and the place has an authentic Spanish cosy feel. I'm looking forward to going back.
This “tavern” is more like a brasserie. Large bowls of tapas are laid out on the counter in front of the open kitchen, just like I remembered it in Spain. Family owned and operated. I filled up on “rignones” y “tripe” (by another name) before I noticed the “special” of the night, “pulpo a la Galicia.”
