Here for a couple of days....so thought would try here as it looked attractive from outside. Inside, there is a courtyard with an atteactive fruit laden orange tree be as a back drop. Staff were very helpful, the Day Menu started with a very nice, creamy spinach soup. The meat course with rice had soy sause taste which went well with the beef. A pleasant place to eat with good value food.
We had the chance to tried this place for the daily menu many times and always was very good, like a home cooked lunch!! Not too heavy on spices or salt and fresh ingredients.The owner is a very nice lady and always welcomes you with a smile, and the staff is very good because in V de Leyva the waiters are not the best.But one of the gems of this place is the Cazuela de Mariscos!! OMG the best in town and I can say that in Bogota too. Full of seafood, fish, flavour, and served with fried green plantains, rice and yucca. Will be back for another of this amazing comfort food :-)
I was familiar with the Darius restaurant in the industrial area of Bogota, which I was told is the same restaurant in Villa de Leyva, so I was attracted to the place by my previous experience. However, I was disappointing s by the slow service, and mostly by the quality of the food: We ordered Calamari as appetizer and Fried Red Snapper main dish. The calamari was rubbish and tasteless... that is not a good way to prepare for calamari, as a matter of fact that shows they do not have idea of how to prepare for a decent calamari dish!. The red snapper was good but not enough to dissipate the disappointment on the slow service and the rubber calamari. They did not have any white whine! any at al! only reds! I can not forgive that a fish restaurant do not have any white wine.By the time of paying the bill they were not able to process credit cards, so only cash, because the "cellular" based system collapsed on the high demand of the weekend, and they do not have any other way to connect to the systemOne fact: this was a very crowded week end on Villa de Leyva, which may explain the several failures ( but not the rubbish calamari). At the end my perception is that they are not prepared to the volume of the long weekend.Prices do not justify the bad quality... prices would be good if they were able to deliver quality food, but they are not.The place is beautifull, it has a good potential, but my overall perception: not good
We visited for lunch. There is a lovely courtyard with tables and a swing set for kids. We had a really great server who was very accommodating. The menu is small - seafood and grilled meats. They also offer a daily menu which comes with soup, main dish (today was grilled chicken, rice, potatoes), a drink and dessert (today's was pears in syrup - delicious!). I had a grilled chicken breast from the menu, this came with patacones, yuca, salad and potatoes. Simple food done well in a nice environment. Overall very satisfied.

The food here was very delicious and a very good value for money. The staff was a bit rude - the waitress didn't understand my Spanish (fair enough), but she just turned and walked away, didn't even try to understand what I wanted.

We had a lovely evening on our last night in villa de leyva. Our host kai who is the chef and owner was so attentive and friendly. It had a nice ambience, was very reasonable. I am a vegetarian but was well catered for. Would highly recommend this lovely place.

El restaurante está en Getsemani lo cual lo hace diferente y chévere. La trilogía de ceviches vale la pena, sobre todo el blanco y el tiradito. El steack pimienta me apareció ganador. Tiene un picantico deli y vino en el término perfecto. El suero de los platanitos hay que probarlo.
